I learned to trust my instincts from her, how to track the ethereal illusive something in the smell or taste, through the process of creation to ensure it hits mark- delicious: the Om of Yum.

Some of my first and best memories are of following my Grandmother Antoinette, Mother, Aunts and Great Aunts around the kitchen while they worked their magic. Growing up in a large Sicilian Family, the rule was there’s always room for another hungry mouth & soul at the table. The daily production was traditional, immense, and always from scratch. Sunday dinner a family staple for all that could attend. As soon as I could hold a spoon, or a towel, I was encouraged to play my part.

My grandmother- a true Sicilian- always changed something in her recipes when she gave them to others, even her 7 daughters. My mother paid me to follow her around, pay attention, write it down.

I learned to trust my instincts from her, how to track the ethereal illusive something in the smell or taste, through the process of creation to ensure it hits mark- delicious: the Om of Yum.

The passion for food that sings in my blood is one formally built upon by studying both food and wine at the Culinary Institute of America, Napa Valley.   It is truly my life’s work, and pleasure to create beautiful cuisine that is both delicious, and nutritious.  I am dedicated to everything heirloom, locally sourced or foraged, highlighting the best of our seasonally prolific Bay Area.
